Hence the name Melage, a combination of the words melanin (the source of pigmentation for people of color) + collage (a combination or collection of various things). It is a community where members can support minority-owned businesses, learn how to best meet their beauty needs, and engage with people passionate about uplifting minority communities and everything beauty!
Melage gives exposure to brands created for people of color by people of color. We celebrate these brands for their commitment to addressing our unique beauty needs. We support their businesses by offering a platform that gives them a voice and control over their brand.
